AUSTRALIAN TILE COUNCIL NSW INITIATIVE
SPECIFIC INSURANCE FOR TILERS

This initiative is for your consideration and to have a better idea on what the ATC NSW is proposing with the concept of insurance for Tilers who waterproof before tiling both exterior and interior to Residential buildings.

The intention of the ATC NSW is to establish and arrange a specific tiling and waterproofing Insurance scheme for tilers at a favourable price.

The ATC NSW is working towards strengthening the existing waterproofing training Unit offered at TAFE colleges for those undertaking and completing the Tiling Trade Cert 111.

Those tilers that successfully complete the proposed strengthened Waterproofing training unit will be endorsed by the ATC NSW, waterproofing Manufactures, Tilers and the wider tiling Industry and supported by TAFE NSW.

A further step to achieve a better outcome with this initiative is to; not only for tilers to have a Certificate of Competence but also a Certificate of Indemnity for waterproofing.

It is possible that an easy accessible an online platform for ATC NSW members via the ATC NSW website with Honan’s Insurance Group Pty Ltd  could be available where tilers could click onto and arrange at competitive costs a specific tilers insurance.

If you are Interested or wish to discuss this matter further please contact the ATC NSW.
